Description

Sansua:

This is really information that's beyond my powers of imagination. The things written on the stone tablets in the Abandoned City and the graveyard were only the beginning. I'll give you a short version of events. Do you remember that magic source? I believe this item is in fact the Divine Emperor. I think this passage makes it plain: 'Before Leya lay to rest, she took the power of the seven gods and begat a new god. Only he who has this god in his possession can confront the God of Destruction and rule as king of all men.'

[Player]:

I just don't understand! That means these ancient inhabitants were in possession of the Divine Emperor? But then why didn't they fight? Why did they simply hide here?

Sansua:

I'll explain that now. The ruler by the name of Angelion received the Divine Emperor. He was an eminent person. He was tasked by Goddess Leya with protecting Iberia from the Berits of Destruction. He was a good king and diligently carried out his task at the beginning of his reign. The chronicles state that many demons were slain by him. Yet the human body cannot bear up to the divine power for long. He eventually went completely mad, and was overpowered by seven of the ancient inhabitants and isolated. This only happened after many lives had already been sacrificed, however.

Sansua:

The ancient inhabitants decided to hide themselves here until the War of the Gods was over. They didn't wish to choose a successor to bear the divine power, since they were worried that the same fate would befall that person as did Angelion. Angelion himself was left behind in the sewers and presumably met his end there. They lived here for a whole two hundred years.

Sansua:

One day the place was discovered by the Berits of Destruction and they had to make a choice. The power of the gods was split into seven parts. This was because Angelion and his subjects had predicted that the Divine Emperor would be taken away from them. They hoped that a hero might appear one day who would find the seven pieces and reforge the Divine Emperor. They then distributed and hid the pieces in different places where they could not be found so easily. Places that give space-time a different meaning.
