Dear 4Story Community,
Yesterday we were informed that personal data belonging to certain 4Story players has found its way onto the internet. After carefully checking our data and systems, we can assure you that the data was not leaked from our systems but from an external source.
Although the source of the leak is most likely someone running an illegal private server, the email addresses of some of our users are affected.
In order to avoid such situations in the future, we request that you never pass on your account details to anyone, including private servers, gold sellers, people offerings hacks, or any other service not offered by Gameforge. It is also very important that you don’t use the same registration details on multiple platforms.
We treat data protection very seriously, hence we highly recommend that you change the passwords and/or email addresses to your 4Story accounts. You can do this via the account management system on the official 4Story website.
